Schotman joins MTM HS Kawasaki in 2018
Dutch youngster makes switch to Kawasaki in WorldSSP300
FIM Supersport 300 World Championship podium finisher Robert Schotman has announced he will make the step over to the MTM HS Kawasaki squad for the 2018 season, as the 18 year old takes on a new challenge in the series.
Involved in the impressive podium battles throughout the season in the famously competitive class, Schotman made his debut around MotorLand Aragon this year and impressed on his Yamaha YZF-R3. Finishing on the podium at the German Round at the Lausitzring and again in Magny-Cours, he is now ready to take on a new challenge with the Kawaskai Ninja 400.
Schotman expresses his delight at the news: “I am incredibly happy with the opportunity to ride for Kawasaki. Last season the MTM Kawasaki Team has proven to be a serious candidate for the world title with Scott Deroue. I cannot wait to ride the all new Ninja 400 for the first time!”
Ludo van der Veken, Team Manager MTM adds: “Robert is a very talented rider with a great mentality. Signing him will give a great boost to his confidence and motivation to grow even further. Furthermore we are happy to already have our team complete, which gives us the opportunity to fully prepare for next season.”
